Design and Technology
We believe that design and technology should be an inspiring, exciting and practical subject. Our curriculum aims to enable pupils to use their own creativity and imagination.
Pupils are given opportunities to design, make and evaluate products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts. They acquire a range of skills and draw on disciplines such as mathematics, science, engineering, computing and art. Pupils learn how to take risks, becoming resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable citizens.
Through our curriculum, pupils will be provided with a high-quality design and technology education, which is essential for pupils to contribute to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of the nation. Through design and technology our pupils can aspire to be engineers, designers, chefs and architects whilst creating a range of structures, mechanisms, electrical systems, textiles and food products.
Design and technology at Glynne Primary School provides children with the confidence to succeed in an increasingly technological world.
